In lecture 2, I referred to the ‘organic’ and ‘geometric’ languages of the landscape. Although this is a very superficial way of describing landscapes, it is a useful place to start.

In the next few images, you will be shown a series of landscapes. Identify whether the landscape in the picture is organic or geometric.
